Western Connecticut State University Media Arts Film Festival Returns to WCSU’s Midtown Campus Friday May 13. Now in its eighth year, the festival showcases the best works by students from WCSU’s Media Production, Digital and Interactive Media, and Art programs.
The May 13 event takes place at the Student Center on the Midtown Campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The evening will begin with a 6 p.m. reception in the student center lobby, an interactive digital arts exhibit at 7 p.m. in room 202, and an 8 p.m. film screening and awards ceremony in the student center theater . The festival is free and open to the public; Evening dress is suggested, but not required. There will be refreshments and a cash bar during the reception.
Sponsored by the BEA Student Club, the WCSU Alumni Association, the Communication & Media Arts department and the Art department, the event will culminate with awards for the best films, videos, animations, scripts, soundscapes, 360 video and interactive media.
